Marin SAT Pep

College Test Prep in Marin County, CA

Can the Marin SAT Prep course really help?
Yes! This course can dramatically improve your SAT score.
The customized learning system is specifically designed to optimize anyone's score regardless of academic level or ability.

How many students do you teach at a time?
Courses are taught in a special seminar format of no more than 6 students per class. The low student-teacher ratio assures personal attention to each student’s individual needs. Students enrolled in a course may also supplement regular course lessons with private tutoring sessions.

How much does it cost?

  • The fee for the Marin SAT Prep course is $1200.
This fee includes all materials, practice tests, and diagnostic evaluations.

  • A $200 deposit is required to reserve a slot.
Remaining payment for the course is due in full prior to the first lesson.

  • Private tutoring for students enrolled in the course is available at a rate of $200 per 1 ½ hour session.

Which study materials do you use?
Marin SAT Prep uses only official SAT questions and tests released by the College Board.  Students also receive a printed copy of my 250 page course book, SAT Unlocked, which covers every subject and topic tested on the SAT.

Do you assign homework?
Homework is assigned after every lesson.  Students are also encouraged throughout the course to take 'ownership' of their SAT by practicing independently with the wealth of extra questions provided.

Do you offer practice tests?
Marin SAT Prep offers, at no extra charge, full-length SAT practice tests that simulate day-of-test conditions. Tests are given in cooperation with the San Rafael Public Library and include a detailed diagnostic evaluation for each SAT subject.

Where are lessons taught?
Lessons are taught at the Marin SAT Prep classroom in San Rafael.

Do you train students who request extra time?
Absolutely. In fact, students with special circumstances often benefit most from this course.

When do you teach SAT Subject Test courses (SAT II's)?
US and World History, Literature, & Math II courses are taught during the month of May for the June test date.
Specific dates and fees for each Subject Test course to be announced.

Do you train for the ACT?
Yes. A comprehensive ACT training program is also available.
Please call for details.

What sets you apart from large SAT prep services?
The sad truth is that most large SAT services hire overworked and underpaid grad students, provide them with only a few days of training, then send them out to read from a canned script.

The SAT is far too important to worry about getting stuck with a poorly trained, inexperienced trainer.  With Marin SAT Prep, you can be confident of receiving top quality, professional instruction from an SAT specialist who is committed to your success.

"Adam, you were outstanding.
(My son) got a 790 out of 800 on the Math. It was amazing.  Math was what we were zeroed in on for engineering schools and you did a phenomenal job.

"You are high in my list of recommendations.
Pat yourself on the back."

____

"Very clear and effective."

____

"A great personality; interacts well with students.  (My son) really enjoyed him!"
